County
Surveyor
by
Monty Rainey, Junto Society
In
most states, the position of County Surveyor is appointed rather
than elected.
The
surveyor's duties are relatively few and relate to things such as
settling boundary disputes when directed by a court or when
requested by interested parties and creating survey markers and
monuments, and conducting property surveys relating to toll roads
and reservoirs.
