Michigan Secretary of State

Terri Lynn Land

As Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land was elected statewide and administers the Michigan Department of State. This is a position that keeps her busy seven days a week.

By statute Secretary Land serves on many boards and commissions including the Governor’s Traffic Safety Advisory Commission, the Michigan for Truck Safety, and the State Administrative Board.

A typical work day might find Secretary Land giving a radio or television interview, attending meetings, traveling around the state for speaking engagements, or visiting customers and employees in branch offices. Press conferences are held announcing new initiatives being promoted. We are always looking for ways to improve traffic safety, watercraft and snowmobile safety and promoting organ donation.

Terri Land
