There
was No Lull in the
Attacks
The
Religious Freedom
Coalition continues to
work with Congressman
Eric Cantor (R-VA) to
stop the funding to
Yasser Arafat as long as
he continues to use
American tax dollars to
support terror.
Congressman Cantor has
introduced the Peace
With Security Act.
Virtually
all of this nation's
newspapers, even the
conservative Washington
Times, reported that
there had been an eight
week lull in Muslim
attacks against Israel
before yesterday's
bombing which killed six
and injured more than
sixty, of which
twenty-six are still in
the hospital. There was
no "lull,"
just good security on
the part of the Israeli
Defense Forces. As an
example, on September
6th two border policemen
and four Border Police
volunteers thwarted a
mega-terror attack when
they intercepted two
vehicles between Wadi
Ara and Givat Ada. One
vehicle was packed with
some 600 kilograms
(1,320 pounds) of
explosives, two
containers of fuel, and
metal objects designed
to maximize casualties.
This bomb was equivalent
to the one used to
destroy the Murrow
federal building in
Oklahoma City. This is a
"lull"?
During
the so called
"lull" more
than a dozen Israelis
were killed in
non-bombing attacks. One
businessman was
bludgeoned to death and
his body set on fire.
Several Israelis were
shot and killed during
the eight week
"lull" and
dozens more injured.
Both
HAMAS and Islamic Jihad
took credit for the
attack on Thursday and
the two groups announced
a
"competition"
to see which could kill
the greatest number of
innocent civilians to
drive Israel into the
sea. They made it clear
that they did not want a
state independent of
Israel, but every inch
of land that Israel has.
They want every Jew and
Christian living in
Israel dead.
The
United States of America
sends millions of
dollars in our tax money
every year to Yasser
Arafat and his
Palestinian Authority
for his "security
force." Almost
weekly, Israelis arrest
or kill members of that
"security"
force who are also
members of terrorist
organizations such as
Yassar Arafat's Fatah
movement which he
operates separately from
his
"government."
Currently,
the United States sends
an average of $75
million every year to
the PA, administered
through the United
States Agency for
International
Development. Last year,
an additional $125
million of American
taxpayer money was
delivered to the PA as
part of a $400 million
three-year aid package
appropriated by Congress
in 2000. During my July
trip to the West Bank, I
saw where a lot of this
"aid" goes.
Arafat's top lieutenants
have built dozens of
huge mansions on the
hills overlooking the
squalid Palestinian
refugee camps. The
"Peace With
Security Act" (HR
3624) would halt the
distribution of American
taxpayer money either
directly or indirectly
to the PA or any of its
agencies. Please contact
your congressman and
give him your views on
this important bill to
stop the funding of
terrorists by our tax
dollars.

J Murray, Chairman

Freedom Coalition
