It’s security stupid!

Well, with a minute into the finalization of the liberation of the Iraqi people, Democrats and their media cohorts just couldn’t wait to put their spin forward. Yes, they decided no time should be wasted on unnecessary praise of this administration and courageous soldiers who displayed the very best of America. No, they want to once again lead a near-sighted flock to believe, it’s the economy stupid. You know that same lie that was perpetrated on America through the Clinton gang just a few, short years ago.

Let’s be clear, we all want the economy to be strong. That is a given. But really, have we as a people not learned a thing from September 11th? Top priority must be national security. Just what happens if we are to do as these spinmeisters wish and select individuals that endorse such a foolish premise as, it must be the economy, stupid?

As a prelude to the coming presidential election, all we will hear is the partisan trumpet of “President Bush has ignored domestic issues by focusing on security.” Their lust for power, power at any cost, has been very dangerous for our country. This danger was brought into focus by former President Clinton just recently, with his prediction that, “Within thirty years, the United States will no longer be the leading superpower; we will be replaced by China and or the EU.” A fear, far too many Americans including Democrats will not understand the Clinton prediction, even fewer pay heed.

What happens if we focus on the economy to the determent of our national security? Do we find ourselves weakened to the point that terrorist have their way once again? Never again must we allow our national leaders to be “a sleep at the switch.” For if we do, will not the economy be the least of our worries?

If America goes back to the days of ignoring, and does not see the importance of focusing on the economy and national security, as they do truly go hand-in-hand, will we not as a nation suffer?
I am sure an answer to this question can be found by all, if one is honest in it’s appraisal of the Clinton administration and Democrat’s leadership prior to the September 11th terrorist attack on America. Just think back on how they dealt with various attacks such as the first attack on the World Trade Center, surely a lesson may be found.

Hopefully, American citizens learned a valuable lesson; you know the old adage, “Fool us once, shame on you and fool us twice, shame on us.”
