Liberation, Celebration, Vindicationby

History in the making, the coalition forces roll into the center of Baghdad. With cautious optimism, the world is noting the liberation of a country long in chains. Fearful citizens can finally breathe; the smell of freedom is soon to be theirs. No longer do they need to fear oppression, murder nor rape. Soon Iraqi citizens will own their country. Wednesday, April 9th 2003, their liberation has arrived. Freedom!

With this liberation comes celebration. We see jubilation breaking out all across the country. Wonderfully amazing is the view of a people that know that their future will be safer, freer and more peaceful than ever thought. After 24 years of suppression, let the celebration begin and allow them the much deserved expression. A victory lap for the courageous soldiers must be allowed as well.

With liberation and celebration, vindication is soon to be ours. Yes, there will be some that will never allow a victory to be claimed. We know all too well that the bar they raise will continue. As 90 countries came out in support, they called for 91, seeing the coalition as diplomatically challenged. As suspicious weapons of mass destruction are found, they will claim to be blind. With a 3 week brilliantly executed march to the center of the city, they see it as a military bogged down. With few ultimate sacrifices given, they will sensationalize at the expense of the lost. As Saddam is no longer a presence, they! remain a “Doubting Thomas.” And finally, as the smiling faces are shown, they will look for the gloom.

However, reality will soon hit those that continue to demonize the President, the administration and the military. As we point at the Coalition of the Unwilling, Hollywood Elite, UN Security Counsel, politicizing Democrats and of course the naive peaceniks, it must be noted that this marvelous victory is not theirs. The victory will be claimed by the deserved.
