Operation: Judicial Freedom

As we justifiably stay focused on our courageous soldiers as the march toward liberating Iraq, Americans must not forget the hideous battle that is taking place on the United States Senate floor. With Senate Democrats taking the Constitution and the judicial process hostage, those that fight for freedom must realize that energy must also be directed on this battlefield. Although physically not as dangerous, nor will it take the same amount of sacrifice, nor blood, it will take men and women of courage to stand up to those of deception.

Over the past days there has been an escalation by Democrats to block President Bush’s nominees. This obstruction not only includes Miguel Estrada and Pricilla Owen, but appears to include nearly all of the nominees that President Bush has sent up for the federal appeals courts. From appearance, no matter which individual nominee, unless they publicly aver the democrat socialist ideology, Democrats will not allow a full Senate vote.

The devious tactics used by Democrats have taken American’s vote away; evidently a Democrat’s vote should be the only one that counts. So what if the majority is positioned on the Republican side of the aisle.

Liberating judicial nominees that have been held hostage for up to two years must take priority. Apparently, Senate Republicans will need to be pressured to take on those that have little use for the United States Constitution, insisting that they fight as they have never fought before. Severe consequence to Democrats due to their strategic obstruction must be applied. This is a battle worth fighting for. The fight to protect the American Constitution is a “just war” that Americans citizens must not lose.
