Willing to Die

Not long ago, our courageous leader stood at Ground Zero with bull-horn in hand pronouncing that those that had violated that ground would soon hear America’s strong voice. Today, across America citizens must take bull-horn in hand, speaking to our own that choose to violate America both in terms of domestic and foreign policy for political purpose and for political purpose only.

From day one, President Bush has been given battle by political opponents with relentless pursuit. Although opposition is part of politics, their dirty tactics has been unprecedented. With “win at all cost” mantra nothing appears to be sacred, for what is at stake is their power.

Curiously, the congressional resolution giving President Bush authorization for war has brought continual, inserted derogatory statements directed at administration’s position by Democrats. Hearing how terrible Saddam is, what horrors he brings, Democrats always inject a BUT. And when they do, most assuredly it is for political purpose. For what do they gain if they tear at our president and resolve? Do they care if they put our country and people in harm’s way?

In the midst of looming war with Iraq comes Democrat’s unparalleled action with the Estrada filibuster. Self-serving, hypocritical and manufactured information, they work to destroy a highly qualified Hispanic man’s reputation. Cornered, lacking elected legitimate power to disqualify, Democrats and their special interest groups have pushed for this discrimination.

From war on terrorism, Iraq, economy, homeland security to judicial picks, Democrats have done everything to obstruct regardless of consequence. Gaining power appears to be all that matters.

Recently, a friend reminded me that survival of America’s democracy is not an automatic or sure thing; Americans need to remain vigilant against all enemies….both foreign and domestic. So with bull-horn in hand let us remind our fellow citizens of just that.
