What You Can Do To Help President Bush

Sick of the constant barrage of partisan attacks aimed at President Bush? As the election of 2004 approaches, we will only see an increase in such attacks. Election results in both the 2002 midterm elections and the California Recall should have sent a clear message to Democrats and their leftist supporters that the American public does not respond positively to their sleazy mudslinging campaigns. Fortunately, it appears that they won't get the point by 2004. In the meantime, we can do our part to help President Bush as he comes under attack here at home.
One very effective way is to write a letter to your local newspapers in support for President Bush. It is imperative that we combat the anti-Bushites as they attempt to dominate the editorial pages. An easy to use form which allows you to select pre-written letters or write your own can be found at: http://www.georgewbush.com/GetActive/WriteNewspapers.aspx?aid=92
Simply type in your zip code and all local newspapers will receive a copy. It's a very effective tool to express your support for our president.
Another area of concern is the blatant anti-Bush bias present in the national news media. Only now has this issue come to light as reports coming from Iraq contradict the picture painted by the media. The greatest offenders are the big three networks: NBC, ABC, and CBS. You can share your feelings of outrage with them by clicking on this link:

You can also strike at the heart of the networks by contacting their advertisers as well:

I would also invite you to join other patriotic Americans in a show of support for President Bush and our troops in Washington, D.C. on October 25th. The Patriot Rally will be held on the Capitol Grounds from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. We are doing this to counter a protest march planned by the anti-war and anti-American group A.N.S.W.E.R. They are calling for a renewal of protest marches against our country and our president. If you aren't familiar with this Stalinist organization, they were the primary backer of the anti-war rallies held around the world this past spring. They are now calling for the immediate abandonment of the people of Iraq as well as the impeachment of President Bush. We must show the world that these despicable people do not represent mainstream America.
By now we've heard details from the Kay Report, which clearly validate the justification for Operation Iraqi Freedom. David Kay reports that Saddam Hussein was clearly in violation of U.N. Resolution 1441 due to continued efforts to obtain and develop WMD. This report, coupled with Saddam Hussein's well-documented ties with Al-Quada, seems to have fallen on deaf ears. Were one to listen to Democrats and the network news, it would appear that this pattern of lies and deception, coupled with intent, did not justify taking action to defend our country from another 9/11-style attack. They also continue their attempts to discredit President Bush by their continued distortion of his State of the Union address from January, 2003:
"Some have said we must not act until the threat is imminent. Since when have terrorists and tyrants announced their intentions, politely putting us on notice before they strike? If this threat is permitted to fully and suddenly emerge, all actions, all words, and all recriminations would come too late. Trusting in the sanity and restraint of Saddam Hussein is not a strategy, and it is not an option. "
We must not allow this distortion of the truth to hinder future operations to protect our country from the threat of terrorism. Hindsight is being used by the opponents of the War on Terror with little regard for the irresponsibility of this persistent attack. The attempts to discredit the justification for this war will only play into the hands of those that seek our destruction. Our country must be able to respond to threats before the dots are all connected, regardless of whether or not the United Nations agrees with us.
You can also write to your elected representative to support Congressman Peter King of New York. Contact information for your representative can be found at: http://www.congress.org
Congressman King is calling for an investigation into Ambassador Joe Wilson and his role in disclosing sensitive information to the public via the article he wrote for the New York Times. Joe Wilson has proven to be an opportunistic partisan with little regard for the well being of the United States. This man has already discredited himself by admitting that he lied when he blamed Karl Rove of responsibility for the White House "leak". In fact, Bob Novak has already confirmed that no one at the White House "leaked" any sensitive information to him. Despite these facts, Joe Wilson has shown so much concern for the safety of his CIA agent wife that he has already signed a book deal.
Might I also suggest writing to President Bush himself? You can email him at:
president@whitehouse.gov . He may appreciate the letters of support. Let's be sure to thank him for standing up to the onslaught of attacks from both the Democrats and the corrupt United Nations. For some reason, liberals feel the need to surrender U.S. autonomy to a world body. What is it about the liberal psyche that would have them believe that such a development would lead to a better world? There is no proof that a utopian world would ever come about as a result. Quite the contrary, one merely has to look to history to witness the results of the concentration of so much power in the hands of so few. I'd prefer to have the good old U.S.A. looking out for my best interests than a world body politic.
Despite claims from groups such as A.N.S.W.E.R. that President Bush is a Nazi, we still have free elections coming up in 2004. Don't forget to register to vote and cast your vote for President Bush. He has earned the support of the American people. The fact that our enemies both abroad and here at home are so vocal in their hatred of him should confirm for all of us that he is the right man for the job.
In closing, let us look to another strong-willed and determined leader for inspiration and guidance in these trying times as we battle the forces of evil:
"Do not let us lose the conviction that it is only by supreme and superb exertions,
unwearyingly and indomitable, that we shall save our souls alive. No one can predict, no one can even imagine, how this terrible war against German and Nazi aggression will run its course or how far it will spread or how long it will last. Long, dark months of trials and tribulations lie before us. Not only great dangers, but many more misfortunes, many shortcomings, many mistakes, many disappointments will surely be our lot. Death and sorrow will be the companions of our journey; hardship our garment; constancy and valor our only shield. We must be united, we must be undaunted, we must be inflexible. Our qualities and deeds must burn and glow through the gloom of Europe until they become the veritable beacon of its salvation."
