The Perfect Sacrifice That America Needs... Now!

In the gospel of JOHN chapter 1 verses 29-34, we find the most astonishing claim made in literature. This is the strongest declaration of Jesus being the Christ of GOD -- the Son of GOD -- the Lamb of GOD -- the perfect sacrifice for the sin of the world. This should give us the greatest confidence that all is well with our souls, but only if He is our LORD and Savior. Who is He to you?

There is a lot of foolishness going around today that says one "god" is just as good as another. Christians are the only people who make the outrageous, foundational claim that their GOD died for their sins. Jesus took their punishment and His righteousness was imputed to them that they might be with Him in heaven forever, just because He loved them.

That is not the story with Mohammed. With him, after you blow yourself to smithereens to kill someone you don't know and only because they are of a different race, then you get to go to paradise and fornicate for all eternity. I understand why that appeals to you Socialist Democratic liberals who say the Klan is bigoted. Then you step quickly to the microphone to make excuses for and try to pass Islam off as a legitimate religion. All the while you are defending our nation against the horrors of Christianity. What you have failed to realize is that America has need of a "lamb" -- a sacrifice to take away our sin. We don't need a social reformer, we don't need a teacher, we don't need a politician with a better plan. We need a lamb on the altar for our sins and the pride and arrogance of our society betrays us.

In Vs.30 & 31, Christ is declared Eternal. He must be made manifest before America just as He must be lifted up before the rest of the world. His preeminence and pre-existence are displayed in John baptizing with water and teaching that He, Jesus, would Baptize with the Holy Spirit. In Vs.32, we see the Spirit descending and abiding on Him "like a Dove". The Dove is a bird of love and sorrow, a perfect symbol of peace. Call out the ACLU. America will be destroyed by something as sinister as this being taught to your children. No, the schools need to be teaching your children the acceptability of riming, fisting and the advantages of "golden showers." But they dare not mention the "Lamb" or "the Prince of Peace." Today there is a church(?) promoting what the heathen would not allow just one generation ago.

In vs.33, we see the Spirit descending and remaining (or abiding), on Jesus. The same word is used in John chapter 15 vs.5, where Jesus said, "He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit." What will abiding in Jesus Christ produce in the life of a person as compare to abiding in Islam or homosexuality? Check the scoreboard. Many of you are following that which you know is wrong..

Verse 34 tells us how we can be sure we are right. John, "Saw and bare record", of a seven fold witness to who Jesus was: (1). Jesus is eternal, He was before me, vs. 15; (2). His Lordship, "I am the voice". vs. 23; (3). His superiority, "I am not worthy to unloose" vs. 27; (4). His sacrificial work, "Behold the Lamb". vs. 29; (5). His moral perfection, "the Spirit descending and abode" vs.32; (6). His Divine right to baptize with the Holy Spirit. vs.33; (7). His Divine Sonship, vs. 34. Proof of His GODHEAD.

When they cut off the head of John the Baptist, it was well with his soul. How well is it with your soul?
