Boxer Pushes 7 to 10 Billion Dollar Bad Idea

Even though most Americans never fly in a commercial jetliner Barbara Boxer has figured out a way to charge every taxpayer a few more dollars. As in billions!
That's right!
Soon, watching an airplane overhead will be just like seeing more of your hard earned money fly out the window. You see, Boxer buys into a hair-brain idea that commercial airplanes can be protected from anything and everything ... or not!
Main thing is the sound-bite, we are in a campaign here you know. There's more.
She also thinks that by banning the sale of handguns she can stop crime! Are you getting the picture?
There are hundreds of possible scenarios that could bring on a possible air accident. Can we be protected from them all? How much will the systems cost to protect us from any and all of these potential threats? Can we afford this kind of thinking? Can we pay for this sort of program?
But wait. I almost forgot. This is the countries most liberal, tax-and-spend, anti-war democrat,
talking-head here. Boxer loves this kind of media event.
Seems Homeland Security spokesman Brian Roehrkasse was less optimistic about the magnitude of today's announcement by Barbara Boxer and her fellow democrat members of congress.
So far, just a couple of missiles were fired on an Israeli jet in Kenya and missed their target.
How do you feel about your taxes footing the bill for the commercial airline industry. Should we be spending this money on something that should probably be included in the price of a ticket?
The answer is no. This is an obvious attempt to use the fears of the American public against them. It will be a cost to the many on a program that is used by the few. The richer few.
The debates are coming. Barbara Boxer will have to defend this costly program to the millions of California taxpayers who never fly on a commercial airliner.
How can a United States Senator who has been consistently against the war on terrorism and has fought against everything our president has tried to do, now suddenly be for this costly program that says those same terrorists are going to shoot down an airliner with a hand-fired
missile?
The reality of it all? The benefits of this untried program are simply not worth the cost.
