Iraq & The War On Terrorism - A Beginning

Am I the only person in the world who gets it? Am I missing something here? Why does it seem so clear to me. The "war on terrorism" protesters cries fall on deaf ears. Our President is not moved. The battle continues. Thank God!
Just what is it that the average protester doesn't understand? Do they not realize what a suicide bomber does? Are they really willing to let massive oppression and killing of innocent people go on until it reaches their hometown right here in the USA? Can all of these people be forgetting just how much our world was changed on September 11? Are they really thinking we should sit here and wait to be attacked again?
Do these dissidents in San Francisco actually believe that by lying down in the street they will do some good? Are they really just doing civil disobedience to show that America is a free country? Are the folks who bash our president willing to further the cause of these enemies of real peace in the name of partisanship? Or is this parade of anti-American slogans just stealing the time of our government workers who need to be safeguarding our neighborhoods? What is wrong with this picture?
How many car bombs must separate decent citizens of the world from their limbs and lives before these protesting youngsters see the light? One pro-troops sign carrier who lives in San Francisco, and who was once an anti-war activist, said that many of these people have no jobs, nothing better to do, and have been around promoting this kind of activity since the 60s. Oh really … and we are letting this kind of vermin give aid and comfort to the enemy? Free country? Darn right.
Seems to me our leaders are being very clear: We will hunt down terrorists until they are eradicated everywhere on earth. When George W. Bush says we will not rest until these ruthless murderers are rooted out and brought to justice, I like that. It's exactly what we hired him to do. Sure, this is no small job. But it is an undertaking that had to happen. The only question was: Who would have the vision and the guts to begin the process. Who would risk his personal popularity for a time, just to proceed in doing the right thing?
All, who either are participating in these destructive activities, or those who may be supporting the cowards who execute these despicable bombings with financial help, will be found and made to pay - big time! That should and must mean all of the persons, groups, organizations, and countries involved. This will be a continuous job and vigil that will go on pretty much forever. Why forever? Because as long as there is greed and evil in the hearts of humans there will be those who seek to dominate others with and through the process of terror.
Is there a concept that can calm and begin to disassemble the strongholds of these terrorists? Yes. Much more will be done in the future to find the messengers of these crimes ... to cut off the sources of their revenue, eliminate the sources of their tools, and make it next to impossible for them to aquire the materials used to make explosive devises.
The bottom line: Education is the key - Only when the leaders of the nations around the world are pressured to let their citizens know that it is wrong and unlawful to hate those who think differently than them - only then will the rash of terrorist bombers begin to decline. Only then will there be some modicum of peace on planet earth. Let's pray that day arrives soon.
