WASHINGTON, DC (RHP)
President George W. Bush announced this week that every legal measure available will be exploited to destroy the economy of Cuba and bring down the regime of communist stalwart Fidel Castro.
“This tyrant has been depressing his people for too long,” President Bush told a group of little league baseball players recently returned from their annual World Series loss to Taiwan. “We will not tolerate or permit to be tolerated any world leader that defies or permits to be defied the political policies of American politics.”
Included in the measures aimed at the island nation are a revitalized economic embargo by American companies and a renewed ban on travel there by American citizens.
“For too long the end of the depression of the people of Cuba has been defied by toleration,” the president continued. “Any world leader that thinks that he can defy the will of the policies of the American people, will find out that we are willing to depress any freedom in order to defy the toleration of the lack of freedom they tolerate.
“The people of Taiwan understand the defiance of American resolve. They aren’t speaking Chinese, after all, now are they?”
Also announced at the photo op were a series of new trade agreements with China.
The president denied allegations that just in case the Castro thing doesn’t work out any better than the bin Laden thing or the Hussein thing, he is planning to “roll Don Zimmer around the White House lawn like an Easter egg.”
