HARD TO BELIEVE
It's hard for me to believe that this great country permits such horrible "trash" to be shown on television. Since I'm not getting up and going to the office each day, I sometimes have an opportunity to scan the TV screens looking for a particular program (my favorites are Fox News, H&G Channel, History Channel, and National Geographic)

This morning I was looking for the latest news and just happened to stop on the Jerry Springer Show. I'd heard how awful the program is, but had never taken the time to view it personally. Now I wish I hadn't this time!

Springer introduced a somewhat attractive black girl who was there to tell her sister (to be introduced later) that she had been sleeping with the sister's boyfriend for some two months. Then they brought the sister on set and the mess began. I would equate the scene, language, fighting, etc. to "two alley cats in heat.." They cursed each other, screamed like cats fighting, pulled each other's clothes off (to reveal only thongs or some very skimpy coverings. Next out came the boyfriend. A rather overweight individual who delighted in having the two sisters fight over him while he made some truly gross statements.

It turned out that the second sister was the one with a job who supported her children, the boyfriend and, I think, the other sister. The boyfriend claimed he slept with her sister because she (the mother and breadwinner) was never home with him. Isn't it ironic that no one asked him why he wasn't out working and earning a living so he could support himself and his girlfriend and her children.

What amazes me also is the large number of people in the audience who seem to be enjoying the entire process and who join in with some terrible remarks and actions. Truly we have reverted back to the wild where there is not moral code, no respect for others, and where there is no standard of decency.

I can assure you I'll never stop on that show again and I truly hope others will join me in boycotting such a low down program. Where is the outrage from individuals who seek decency in this great country?
