Choice
On Earth

For the
past couple of days, you may have heard Bill O’Reilly on Fox News
ranting about Planned Parenthood’s selection of Holiday Cards with
their "Choice on Earth" card they are sending out this year.
Though politically, I usually agree with Bill O’Reilly, I’m not
really what you would call a fan. Personally, I find the man to be
somewhat of a pompous ass, which is always distasteful, no matter what
the political affiliation. But I have grown to expect more from Mr.
O’Reilly than this.
Come on,
Bill. What could you have possibly expected to come from such an
apostate organization? Personally, I am amazed that they even
acknowledge the celebration of the birth of Christ. As one of the
leading professionals in your field, you really need to pick your
battles a little better. Surely there must be much more pressing
issues than what Christmas card is being sent out by the liberals.
Perhaps
your time would be better focused on such things as the 1,000,000
illegal immigrants who have entered the U.S. this year. Or the erosion
of Second Amendment rights in local municipalities across the nation.
If you need help finding worthy news material, just let me know.
I’ll be glad to help.
Fox News
has been a Godsend to the American people, so far. I’m hoping Rupert
Murdoch has enough sense to keep it from pandering to the
sensationalism that some people call news. However, a quick glance at
their website this morning makes me less than optimistic. I really
don’t care if Michael Jackson got bit by a spider. I just hope the
spider is okay. And it is not important to me how many things Whitney
Houston is addicted to. What I would like to know is why the Bush
administration is distancing itself from Tom Tancredo (R-CO), who is
the only real Washington champion of tougher immigration laws and
tighter border security.
If I want
sensationalism, I know where to find CNN and the network news. But
back to Bill O’Reilly. Bill, the American public expects more from
you. Of course the card in question is appalling to pro-lifers, but
all you are accomplishing is giving them the press time they wanted in
the first place! By informing the uninformed about this card, what
have you accomplished? Have you changed the way anyone thinks? Will
Americans now hold Planned Parenthood in a different light? Of course
not!
Just look
around, Bill. The left is doing all kinds of things to destroy
America. Things of tremendous proportion. What you are talking about
here is a minimal assault to the value systems most Americans hold
dear. I guess what I am trying to say is, if we focus on the big
stuff, the small stuff will take care of itself.
Let’s
get back to the real news and quit worrying so much about what a group
of misguided leftists are doing. The elections last month should have
sent a clear signal that most of America is not paying much attention
to them anyway
