An Open Letter to Senator Murray

The War is On

Dear Senator Patty Murray,

I am retired.  I have nothing better to do than to sit here and type up why I am no longer a Democrat.  On Sunday I sent you an email asking you to move over and Support the Estrada nomination.  In your arrogance you voted against him yesterday.  I will be developing a website starting today with the intent of dumping all Washington State Democrats that are up for re-election in my lifetime.  My daughter and my family will help me with this effort.  We all used to be Democrats but we are no more.  Between the legalized robbery of our income in the form of continually rising taxes that have often prevented me as a single mother to not be able to properly support my own children and their educational requirements, and the fact that my daughter has children of her own that Democratic policies and activism is bound to harm in the near future if not currently, we are fed up.   The effort has already started, I sent out an email that went out to approximately 2,000 of my readers about 10 minutes ago letting them know how I feel about this vote against Estrada.   I posted an action item with a list of all the Senators that voted against him as well: http://www.juntosociety.com/actionalerts/emaildems_030703.html and sent this page out to 10 Newsgroups I belong to, with a combined readership of well over 100,000 across the country.

Your refusal to recognize that we are also your constituents is blatant arrogance and it will not go unnoticed by the general population of the state of Washington.  I will start with the website, then I will make sure that the 20,000 or so people that attend my church understand that you do not care what we think.  Your re-election will be fought against and fought hard.

When you showed up on this list today: http://www.nrsc.org/nrscweb/estrada/no_voters.shtml I was infuriated.   Let me assure you that does not mean I will do anything more than make sure that Washington knows that you do not represent a growing majority here that is sick of your Anti American rhetoric.   You are once again setting dangerous precedents that will come back to haunt you and your party.   Remember the Scriptural warning that "Pride" cometh before the fall.  Your pride is in the way of your common sense.

Since you don't bother to reply by email, there is no reason for you to bother to reply at all, I am not interested in why you voted the way you did.  There is no excuse for it period.

Sincerely,

Sandra Hartle

*** Washington D.C. insider sources say the very best way to get your message to your elected officials is not through writing them or even calling their office.  The most effective way of influencing your elected officials is through "Letters to the Editor."  Editorial pages are browsed by staff members for the purpose of noting the public mindset.  Therefore, readers who are in agreement with the content of this letter are strongly encouraged to submit this letter to their local news editor.
