Ugly Politics

Get ready people we are in for a treat like none other ever seen in this country.  This will be a season of "Ugly Politics" like you have never witnessed.  The left backed by Hollywood in some sort of a hate driven fury over having a Republican President, is resorting to new levels of degradation.  I guess they were not ready for the backlash they have created by going down a well greased slippery slope into depravity.   Ratings are falling on all the local networks.  This isn't because more people are choosing to watch the pay stations either, it is a simple rejection of garbage in our living rooms.

This weeks offerings from "Law and Order" included the main characters having a battle royal over our current President and his policies.  Unfortunately, I quit watching Law and Order years ago out of boredom, so I didn't actually see the entire show, only a snippet of it on Brit Hume's Program on Fox News Yesterday afternoon.   Two of the Characters were going at it over whether or not  President Bush lied to us to get us into the war on terrorism, in particular the current conflict in Iraq.   One Character even implied that he somehow planned the attacks on the Twin Towers himself.

Despite the recent news that indicates that Saddam and bin Laden have been working together for more than a decade these accusations of the "big lie" persist, and fall off the lips of nearly every Democrat that gets face time on the television set.   An article written by Oliver North in today's, Townhall explains some of the problems we are looking at for this political season.   Yet, this is just the tip of a rather large iceberg.

Because I don't write ordinarily for other publications I receive tons of emails from individuals on the writings I post on our website.   Many of these are from those of the liberal persuasion who think that I am a complete moron.  Of course they are entitled to think what they wish.  However, based on the hateful method they use to relay their messages I suspect they aren't going to get many converts to their way of thinking.

It appears that even though the internet is swamped with as many liberal websites as there are conservative sites, that those of the liberal persuasion don't think the right has a right to an opinion.  Sadly for them, freedom of speech is not limited to their opinions.

Now you would think that after the "Ire" they created over defaming the Reagan's with a proposed mini series that is intended to slander the last well thought of Republican President, Ronald Reagan and his wife and family, they would have seen the light.  But no, Hollywood apparently needs to be hit over the head with a sledge hammer in order to get the message.   So we are about to be treated to a season of programming that includes a heavy political message that Republicans are bad for this country.   This of course will be the replacement for negative political advertising that the new laws regarding "fair play" before an election prevent.   Why spend money on advertising when you can just incorporate the message into your regular programming?

And they thought ratings were tanking before?

Personally I am not satisfied that they moved the movie the Reagan's to Showtime.  Now on message boards across the country we are being told that teachers will record this showing to take to their schools and make sure that our young people in school view the movie.  Once again exercising their superiority over the ignorant parents in this country.   Is this a violation of copyrights laws?  I would provide a link to one such site, but see no reason to provide them with advertising from this site.

So I wonder who these writers are, and what their real agenda is?   It seems that some of the folks behind our new viewing pleasures are quite proud of their work and have a program running on VH1 called "Totally Gay" that not only reveals who is behind the new skin shots we are being treated to, but they also take bragging rights on the "inclusion" of everything gay into every program we are being spoon fed these days.   Bravo is running a program now that glorifies "gay" weddings, of course in all the states at this point in time they cannot obtain a marriage license but hey, why let little annoying laws stop you from proceeding with your agenda?  Right?

According to the most recent Census report there is about .5% of the nation that claim to be in long term same sex partnerships.   Now it seems to me if they want some real support for their efforts all those living together under these circumstances would identify themselves and stand up and be counted.   Yet, they persist in claiming that up to 10% of our population is gay stating that they won't identify themselves due to prejudice.  But wait, a Census does not show who gave the information to anyone but the government, and we are not able to review anything other than their findings.  Under those conditions you would think I would have a neighbor or two that was gay, but  none are anywhere to be seen.   And despite their plight or presumed plight, a marriage license is not needed to invoke legal ability to leave your inheritance to your partner or to buy property together, gay or otherwise.   All that is needed to do such is a will and a partnership agreement.   Of course this means that the partner is not able to collect social security paid by the other partner, but I suspect in most of these same sex establishments both parties are gainfully employed.

At any rate, it appears that the main issue for this coming election is going to be designed around whether or not you support or do not support gay marriage.   Do the Democrats think that less than 5% of the country who are eligible to vote, will carry them to the White House?   Recent polls indicate that 72% of the country are fully against legalizing 'gay marriage'.   In another poll taken by Vote.com, 68% out of 606,567 who voted say they are against "gay marriage" being legalized in this country.   Yet, the court in Massachusetts is going to take this matter out of the voter's hands and go around the legalities of having the legislature make new laws by doing it themselves.   This will surely be a hot issue in the upcoming election.   And no matter how many times the representatives from GLAD (check the transcripts for the November 20, 2003 show on Hardball) misrepresent the will of the people on this issue, it is using the court to bully others into doing what they want.   But wait isn't that what they say everyone does to them?

Personally I am growing weary of everyone with a cause taking it to the court to change the way the majority in this country must function in order to accommodated their agenda.   Small minorities are over running our courts with law suits that end up affecting the majority when the decision comes down in their favor.   A prime example is the recent case against the Pledge of Allegiance for including the words "under God".   One man took this to court, and though he doesn't come out with the facts, he is a representative the American Atheist who are fully against everything that includes God in this country, and it is their cause to have "God" removed from public view.  Of course their ally the ACLU is only too willing to attack every state in order to have their will imposed once again on the majority, who support the display of the 10 Commandments, and the words "Under God" in our Pledge.   One recent court case even went after a woman who had a sign in her yard because the housing she was in was public housing.  We are winning some of these cases, but every win they attain gives them ammunition for their next attack.  The most recent one being legalizing gay marriage.
